What is a PUK (personal unblocking key) for?
Your Personal Unblocking Key (PUK for short) is a 4-8 digit numerical code that can reset the number of times you can enter a SIM network unlock PIN (unlock code) into your handset. The PUK is essentially a security measure that stops people from unlocking your handset to use a different network.
Warning: If you enter the wrong PUK code into your handset a number of times your handset can become permanently blocked.
