However, in a small minority of cases you may run into a few snags. On this page we’ll show you everything you need to both enter the HTC SIM network unlock PIN code and troubleshoot and related problems.

How to enter your HTC unlock code for the majority handsets:

  1. Insert your new SIM card from a network different to your current one.
  2. When prompted with the ‘Network lock’ screen enter your HTC unlock code.

Your HTC mobile phone should now be unlocked. The handset may also require you to restart it.

How to enter your HTC unlock code for CDMA & GSM handsets:

  1. Insert your new SIM card from a network different to your current one.
  2. When the screen prompt indicates that it is switching back to CDMA mode press ‘OK’.
  3. Next you’ll need to press the green button to go back to the main screen.
  4. Once at the main screen navigate to: Settings > All settings >Personal and press ‘Security’.
  5. You should now be prompted to enter your HTC unlock code.

Your HTC mobile phone should now be unlocked. The handset may also require you to restart it.

Q. What do I do if my handset doesn’t ask for a code?

A. Check the SIM card is inserted properly and that your handset recognises the SIM card. As a security measure your HTC handset should also ask for the SIM card PIN. As a last measure you can try resetting the phone.

A. If you see the ‘SIM lock’ message your HTC mobile phone has a blocked counter. This is normally due entering the wrong unlock code too many times. You can reset this problem by upgrading the handset ROM. One complete you should be able to re-enter the code successfully.
